Joining a discussion: Once you are registered, joining a discussion is simple. Just click on the title of the discussion you wish to join in the box to the left. That will direct you to that discussion's page. Once there,you can scroll down to see what others have said and then simply click on "create a new response" to join in.

Creating a new discussion: To create a discussion, simply go to the "Add a . . ." box to the left and click on "Discussion Topic." In the new page, give your discussion a short title and brief description. You can also choose to limit the audience or make the discussion "public." That will make it open to everyone who has registered to the site.

Adding a job or internship: Adding a job or internship is easy. Again, go to the "Add a . . ." box to the left and click on either "internship" or "job announcement." Please fill in the job or internship title, the application deadline, a summary including the employer's name, and the location of the job or internship. You may also attach a more detailed description of the position.

Inviting others to join in! We hope you will invite other alumni, students, and friends of geography to explore and join UMWGeography.org. To do so, click on the "invite your friends and colleagues" tab in your box to the left. Then fill in the e-mail addresses of the people you would like to invite. These folks will receive an e-mail with the link to UMWGeography.org inviting them to join.
